Speaking of movies, this neighborhood is a favorite among Hollywood South! It's called 'The Best Kept Secret" among locals!
We are located right next to Famous 'OLD POINT BAR' It is a favorite of many celebrities and is one of NOLA's oldest and most filmed bars. It's as if it was lifted from the pages of a textbook on great New Orleans bars! It has a down-home, almost speakeasy vibe, but on the interior its all good friends and neighbors enjoying some of the finest live music in NOLA! You might recognize it in just a few of the dozens of movies that have been filmed there...Contraband, Green Lantern, Ray, The Expendables, Seeking Justice....just to name a few!
During summer months you can enjoy 'Wednesdays At The Point'! A free concert series every Wednesday night from 6-9 at the Algiers Ferry Landing! There is also lots of great food and crafts from local artist.
