Situated on the foot path of the east side of the Magnificent Pyrénées, this superb typical Catalan Farmhouse with pool. Near the charming village of “Las illas”, is located in a peacefully wooded meadow, it is crossed by a small river few steps away from the farmhouse.
This landscape will offer you a large choice of walks where you will enjoy the view and the peaceful area.
The farmhouse is fully furnished with characters in an old style.
On the ground floor a fire will welcome you after your winter walks A kitchen to prepare a nice meal for friends and family. The living room over viewing the river with an access to the back terrace for shaded afternoons.
Next to the ground floor bedroom a spacious bathroom with shower and bath. The 3 other bedrooms upstairs over viewing the pool and wood. Bathroom with toilet on the upper floor.
The swimming pool is surrounded by a well tended grass area and nearby a play ground for kids.
The village of Las Illas is a quiet village, nestled in a valley at the “Vallespir”, just few steps away to the Spanish border. Surrounded by some village farms. The area is a forest of the chestnuts and Holm oaks.
The village has one of the best gourmet restaurants in the area “L’augerge des Trabucayres” ( Michelin Guide).
Las Illas is known by professional hikers for its local paths and its famous GR10 which connects the Mediterranean sea to the Atlantic ocean.
While walking you will be able to visit the church of “ Notre Dame de Remedy” (built by the Arles’s Monks in the 9th century), it is open once a year (15th August).
