Retreat to our modern A-Frame cabinknown as the Stave House which is named after the historic, Norwegian churcheswith beautifully carved details, timber wall structures, and a pointed 'A' like design.
Nestled on Long Lake with over 200 feet of lakeshore access and a private dock, enjoy gorgeous views, an indoor fireplace and modern conveniences for the entire family! Enjoy a large kitchen, master bed and bath, and the coziest loft overlooking the water. Spread out on the front deck with patio seating.

Our hope is that you fully enjoy all that the Stave House has to offer! Most recreational attractions such as hiking/biking trails, sight-seeing, or other MN destinations are also in the area. Check out our guide for detailed info.
Our property is on private Long Lake, so there is no public access. We ask that guests do not bring their own boats/kayaks/canoes to ensure the integrity of the lake. We have 2 kayaks available for guests to use during their stay as well as plenty of paddles and life jackets. A dock is available, and the shallow lake front provides swimming access.
***Due to the weather in MN, please be prepared for winter travel when coming to and from our cabin. We make sure the driveway to the cabin is plowed for you but cannot guarantee how the roads leading there will be. The private road leading to the driveway is steep and can be icy under certain weather conditions. Please be prepared during winter months with an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle.
