Post and beam home in Quidnet large front yard with never ending views of Sesachacha pond and Sankaty Light house. Home has large living room for entertaining with cathedral ceiling, chefs kitchen, dining room with view, master king suite with en suite bathroom on 1st level.Master Bedroom The master bathroom has tiled floor, tiled shower with rain fall shower head with free standing soaking tub. There is a half bath and washer and dryer next to the mudroom entrance. The kitchen has all amenities including all clad pots and Nantucket basket china. Our living room is an open concept with long leather couch, two chairs with ottomans, 72 inch Panasonic flat screen. The cathedral ceiling gives the room and open and airy feeling. The dining room seats eight and is easy accessible to kitchen and living room. It's a easy concept flow and view from all rooms. There are two staircases that will lead to the three upstairs bedrooms and sitting area. Our two queen bedrooms have a loft in each room and shared bath. This bathroom is a two sink vanity with shower/tub combo. The other bedroom is a king bedroom with private bath.
Air condition mini split units in all bedrooms and living room.
There is a small deck on on the first level as you enter the house and a deck above with can be assessed from inside on the 2nd floor. The outside propane Weber grill is on the bottom deck. Our front yard is very large and lots of room to children to play freely. It over looks Sesachacha Pond and Sankaty Lighthouse. There is a teak table with seating for 14 for outdoor dining. There are also lounge chairs on the lawn for relaxing, napping, sunbathing or star gazing.
There is also a 2 bedroom apartment for rent if you need extra space for family members at a additional cost. The apartment is located over the 3 bay garage. It has a separate entrance off second floor deck on the right hand side of the garage. The only thing you share is the driveway. The apartment will be occupied 2022/2024 (host/family) There is no access to garage or basement. The driveway continuous to the next door neighbors house.
Quidnet beach and pond are a quick 10 minute walk from our house.The ocean is great for swimming, surf casting and seal watching. At the pond you will find families with smaller children enjoying the quieter waters. Sesachacha Pond is 267 acres. There is plenty of room for the sailboats, paddle boarders, wind surfers and kayaking.
Sconset Village, Wauwinet and Great Point are just a short distance away. There are also hiking trails near by at Squam Farm, Squam Swamp, Cranberry bogs, Altar rock and lets from forget the beach!! 15 minutes drive to the heart of town (7 miles), 10 minutes to Stop and Shop (6 miles). Our place is perfect for family vacations, friend holidays, or anyone looking for a special place to enjoy the best Nantucket has to offer. The quiet east end part of the island is still magical. Many family generations come back year after year and build new memories. Fantastic place to spend your summer vacation.
