You can walk down cobblestone hill to reach Community sailing, wind surfing school, rent sunfish single sail boats. Jetties beach with its popular on- beach restaurant is there.
The house is 'old Nantucket', practical and comfortable,not too precious, perfect for those seeking original Nantucket atmosphere. Though close to town, the water and bicycle path, it is quiet and private overlooking the bird sanctuary with a view of the harbour in the distance. Ground floor: 2 twin/or pushed together to make a king, shower room. First floor: 5 rooms: large master bedroom; 1 double bed with single; 1 small double; 1 bunk room: twin beds and bunk bed; 1 double bed with single; 2 bathrooms, claw foot bath with shower; Eat in kitchen (for 8); dining room by deck (for 12); living room , porch/playroom, tv room. 4 adult bicycles available. Air conditioners in bedrooms. Fans in all rooms. Great favourite additional outdoor shower.
Much loved by the locals, this is an all round great house unless you can't live without central pumped air conditioning. The bathrooms have everything you need, but we have kept the original claw foot bathtubs that are so in fashion now. The trade off is that we offer this house that is loved by islanders for much lower than market Nantucket rental cost.
The white sand beaches and exciting waves of the South Shore are brilliant for families with children who swim; the calm water of the North Shore provide classic bucket and spade holiday.
