Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was perfect- just outside the North End, not more than 10 minutes from the middle of Hanover Street. I was able to walk to just about everything on the waterfront, including the Fanuil Hall/Quincy Market area with no problems. The North End T station was just nextdoor, for any longer excursions. There is a huge grocery store in the basement of the retail area by the TD center, just a couple of blocks away, so we were able to eat in as much as we wanted. This unit would be terrific for a family, and was fully equipped with the tools families need, like a high chair. We also enjoyed spending time on the terrace, which has an amazing view out over the North End into Boston Harbor. Finally, the hosts/staff were very helpful and responded quickly to me via both booking.com and WhatsApp.

Negative: There were only a few things I didn't like about the unit, primarily in the bathrooms. In one, the shower rod was hanging down so far that I thought it would fall off the wall. In the other, the lever switching water from the tub to the shower frequently fell out of the fixture, which itself was on the wall beside the tub, rather than at the end as is usually the case, making it a challenge to shower. Weird. As seems to be the case in every hotel and rental everywhere now, there was a lack of decent storage space in the bathrooms. The linens were of marginal quality. These are far from deal breakers, however.

Summary: This unit is in a great location, would be excellent for family travel, and has the basics covered.
