I am an owner of highly desired week 30 Folk Festival red week in the 4-story Eastwind building of the Wyndham Newport Onshore resort in the center of the Historic Newport RI harborfront village. You cannot find a better, more spacious central location in Newport with all the amenities included for a large family, two families, or a group of couples or friends who want to enjoy the best of Newport during the best summer week. This very spacious 3 BR unit in the Eastwind building encompasses two floors (the 3rd and 4th floor), directly faces the fabulous Newport harbor with no obstructions and has the most incredible views to enjoy at all times of the day, including the lighted Newport bridge and fabulous sunsets. You can view all the sailboats and yachts in the harbor, looking down at them from your very spacious covered front balcony off the 3rd floor living room where you can sit and enjoy ocean breezes, beverages, meals and views from the balcony table and many chairs. Read the free daily newspaper (provided at the lobby) or just watch the boating activity.
On the 3rd floor, there is a Bedroom (city views) with 2 twin beds and a full bathroom accessible form both the living room and the bedroom. There is also a dining room with a large table seating 8 which is adjacent to the Living room. The living room has chairs and a comfortable queen size sofa that pulls out to a bed. Next to the Living room is a separate large family room with another comfortable queen size sofa that pulls out to a bed and chairs where you can watch the MLB Baseball games or DVD movies on the large flat screen Cable TV. The family room and living room are spacious with lots of light and breezes from Narragansett bay and both have sliding glass doors to the front balcony. There is also a very spacious 3rd floor gunshot back balcony with a table and 4 chairs off the full kitchen with nice city views that provides a cross breeze and a place to dry off your bathing suits towels :) . You can see St Elizabeth's church where JFK was married from this back balcony and see (wave to and talk to) any guest arriving that may be coming to visit you. This makes it easy so you don't have to meet them on foot at the entrance of the resort.
The 4th floor is stacked with amenities. There are 2 very large bedrooms (both with king size beds and large walk-in closets. There is a washer and dryer off the very large master bedroom bathroom which also contains a very large whirlpool Jacuzzi with mirrors. The other very large bedroom has a very large bathroom as well with a very large shower stall containing two shower heads (one in the front and back of the shower) A very large 4th floor balcony with city views also exists off of the 2nd bedroom on the 4th floor. There is zoned A/C for the 3rd and 4th floors.
There is plenty of room in the unit 3rd and 4th floor to add air beds or other sleeping apparatus to fit additional guests. The onsite amenities and indoor and outdoor pool with free towels provided by the Wyndham staff at the onsite lobby. The pools are surrounded by a fenced in private yard overlooking the harbor where you can use provided outdoor grills, tables and chairs to cook and sit down, eat your food and enjoy beverages. There is also a sauna and workout room, and a gated parking lot with 3 free parking spaces (one of which is covered and underneath your unit) close to your unit. The location is very secure. There is locked entrance way accessible via your room key only where a private elevator and stairway exists to access your unit. The entire building was updated and remodeled in 2020 so it has new flooring throughout, new kitchen countertops, cabinets, furniture, blinds, vanities, jacuzzis, tubs, HVAC, and interior paint. The hallways and elevator lobbies were also updated as was the outdoor pool area.
You can make an inquiry for fewer days but consider I have to pay a $200 cleaning fee in between renters.
