This is a completely self contained guest home attached to our main home. Decks and patios are separated by a divider for privacy.
This beautiful home is situated in a peaceful neighborhood less than five minutes north of Winterset, and 25 minutes southwest of West Des Moines - all on pavement. It features a spacious open floor plan with multiple gathering areas, plus two huge outdoor spaces with gorgeous views!
The main floor features the living room with vaulted ceilings and dining area; a smart TV with multiple streaming options; a fully stocked kitchen; two bedrooms; a bathroom with rain shower head and washer/dryer; and two sliders to a large covered deck with dining table and lounge furniture. The cozy loft is furnished with a desk and chair if you need a place to work.
The basement features a large family room with queen sleeper sofa and ping pong table. There is also a third bedroom with a full bed over two twin bed bunkbed; a full bathroom with deep soaking tub and shower; and two additional sliders leading to the covered patio with more comfortable furniture.
We are located in very close proximity to the Covered Bridges Winery and Winterset Cidery. There is also easy access to all six of Madison County's world-famous covered bridges; Madison County Winery; John Wayne's birthplace and museum; Winterset City Park; Pammel Park; the historic Madison County courthouse and square; and many other area attractions.
