Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A nice cheery welcome, a spacious room , separate toilet and shower, nice and clean, comfortable bed. It was nice and quiet so we slept very well. We were given a choice of either having breakfast at the Forge or at the Chateau, a few minutes walk away. We chose to walk to the Chateau, and we were glad we did, it is a lovely building, the breakfast room had marble fireplaces and lots of character. There was a lot of choice for breakfast, savoury and sweet, pastries, baguettes, eggs. the staff were kind and helpful.

Negative: Just one tiny point...the room is in the attic space, which means it had Velux windows in the roof, but you still have a view. It would have been useful to have explained the operation of the electric blind system they had in place. It took us a while to work it out, unfortunately one of the blinds was not functioning during our stay which meant we had to put a blanket up at the window in order to keep out the morning light.

Summary: We had a comfortable quiet overnight stay. Good value for money, good breakfast, helpful staff.
