Newly renovated duplex in the safe, historic Broadmoor/Uptown Area of New Orleans.
Located near the Mercedes Benz Superdome, Audubon Zoo, French Quarter. This is an ideal location if traveling for Mardi Gras, Saints' games, Jazz Fest, and all the other amazing festivals city has to offer.
A stylish, newly renovated Shotgun Double.
Guests have one entire side of our home. Built in the 1920's, our home includes original heart pine floors throughout the house (please be gentle with high heels and luggage). The home has two bedrooms. One bedroom is stylishly decorated and includes one extremely comfortable queen bed, two dressers and backyard door access.
The second room includes a very comfortable twin bed, small half couch and large closet for luggage (closet contains ironing board and iron as well as hangers for any clothes).
The home includes a fully equipped kitchen. We also have a coffee pot with complimentary coffee and bottled water.
The bathroom is one of my favorite parts of the house because y’all…..We have a friggin bidet y’all….it’s an experience you definitely don’t wanna miss out on trust me lol! The bathroom also has a full sized tub with shower (basic toiletries are included).
The living space includes Netflix, dvds, and a really cool record player with a bunch of old records to enjoy! On the book shelf, there is a folder labeled "The Spots." My wife and I took some time to write down our favorite coffee shops, restaurants, experiences. This list is detailed and includes what we like to do at each place, what our favorite menu items are, how far it is from our house, prices etc. If you would like this list before you come in the city so you can plan your trip, I will gladly send it to you once you've made your reservation with us! The last spot you will love is our backyard. Very spacious with a patio and hanging lights, our backyard is perfect for hanging out, having a couple of drinks, playing corn hole and "Big Jenga." A big commercial ice chest is available in the backyard for drinks. Ice bags can be purchased at the gas station around the corner (please remember to pick up any trash you might leave). The backyard is shared with us, but feel to enjoy at your leisure.
LAST THING...I do want to note again that this is a residential neighborhood. You will be expected to be considerate to the neighbors, so we ask that you keep the noise level down after 9pm! We are looking forward to your visit.
Our home is 3 miles from the nearest street car stop if you're looking for an exciting way to travel around New Orleans. There is also a walking/biking path down Napoleon Ave. that you can take if you're wanting to get out and explore the city on bike or foot. If you don't have a rental car we suggest catching rides with Uber or Lyft for easiest transportation to further stops or attractions. We also have a stroller if you have a child with you! Let us know before hand so we can leave it out if you will be needing it while you stay!
