And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms sleep up to 4 guests across 2 beds, each dressed in plush linens with room-darkening shades to help you sleep in after a late night on Frenchmen Street. Hangers, clothing storage, and a safe are all provided, so you can settle in properly rather than living out of a suitcase.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is genuinely well-equipped for those who want to cook. You'll find a GE gas stove, GE single oven, Maytag refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, baking sheet, and a full set of dishes and silverware. Cooking basics - oil, salt, pepper, pots and pans - are already stocked. Pull up a chair at the dining area, or take your plate out to the balcony for a proper New Orleans experience.
Bathroom
The bathroom includes a bathtub, shower gel, and Ecorite shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, along with a hair dryer and cleaning products. Towels and toilet paper are provided.
Outdoor & extras
The private balcony is furnished for outdoor sitting - ideal for a glass of wine as the neighborhood comes to life in the evenings. The unit also includes a washer and dryer in-unit, iron, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and exterior security cameras (in place to ensure the property stays within its 4-guest limit). Self check-in is available via smart lock. Free street parking is available nearby, and a laundromat is also close by. The property is pet-friendly, so your furry companion is welcome. Families can request a pack 'n play (sheets included) and a folding high chair with padding, straps, and food tray - babysitter recommendations are also available on request.
